As requested, a not so often mentioned album among AOR circles despite of having the finest ’80s Canadian AOR pedigree: WHITE VISION‘s self-titled album “White Vision“.
Recorded 1987 but never released, finally these melodious songs saw the light of day in 1995 thanks to excellent European label Long Island Records, always at the rescue of Melodic Hard Rock / AOR during the Nineties.
WHITE VISION involved talented musicians from the CanCon scene, most of them later joining legendary act PRISM. The band was helped by the late Brian “Too Loud” MacLeod (Chilliwack, Headpins) not only with songwriting but also producing. In fact, pre-producing, as the twelve songs on this release are high quality demos. Yeah, production isn’t at the ’80s major label level, but the songs are great!
Musically like a mix of LOVERBOY, AVIATOR, FORTUNE, etc – if you’re a sucker for that 1986-87 edgy AOR bubbles, then “White Vision” is a must. The only bad thing here is the cover art, but the songs are sur
