Underwell – Plan Your Rebirth (2012)

n recent years, the word “change” or “revolution” often came to our ears, almost to be used too lightly. Many of those who appear on television screens, radio broadcasts, or simply on the printed pages of the newspapers in my long lost sight of what they want to say those words. What we must realize is that instead of a change we need in these times darker than ever, but it must be a desire to start from scratch, tear down the pillars on which up to now have been resting the basics of how to common life, and groped by all means to create a new reality, in which every individual that is part of has exactly the same rights and duties of man standing next to him.

Throughout history, artists have generally tried to give the greatest contribution to the various causes that could have taken place, and even today, the way in which we should all go seems to have become a point so far, there are people who struggle these injustices in their own way, through music, for example, consuming their fingers and vocal chords to impress upon the minds of those who govern this system to their message.

Should we mention a group that has always been immersed in the trenches of the fight against indifference, well, one of the first names that would be out would surely Underwell, with their “Plan Your Rebirth” are placed among the front ranks of those who protest against this system that seems to have abandoned those who gave him the power, we.

From cold and Lombardy Pavia these activists just offer us a Metalcore classic no frills, act just want to concentrate the mind of the listener on what they want to say, his voice somewhere between the clean and scream screams of Marshmallow with all the power of the body to allow the disappointment to this system, which according to them would collapse like a house of cards to be rebuilt from scratch, so you do not repeat (hopefully) the mistakes of the past.

The musical part is entrusted to the wise hands of Theo and Bertuzz, which follow each other for the duration of listening creating solos amazing worthy of Metal vein surrounding the group, while the rhythm part and “heavy” is produced by Tiaz, the which together with the voice represents the Core of Underwell, fast-paced and cadenced coming directly from the traditions and Death Hardcore Punk 80s and 90s.

What is striking is the album cover, unlike most simplistic artwork or with little verve (maybe just with a photo of the singer and / or the entire formation) that you see on store shelves today. The Underwell want to convey a profound message and touching with their share graphics, and a lone tree in the middle of a nearly deserted plain living and a special dual reality. To his left is what represents the world as we see it, desolation, neglect, and a muffled and almost constant blanket of snow covering everything … as if to represent the tacit silence of the people, those who prefer to look the other way rather than trying to do something. On the right there is what many of us would like to see, lush vegetation and a warm light that enlightens every thing she can tocccare.

Unfortunately in this world, those who want to change things are still very few (and luckily I am with them), but it seems that something is slowly smoldering for years and years of care only for those few material things that we they “feel good”. People, albeit with walk ant, are beginning to understand that the media can not imbonirci life with spots and campaigns perbenistiche given only to hide the real truth of things, is understanding that those who govern us will never face those who gave the right (and especially) the duty to control and supervise the events, we are much more numerous and stronger than them. All you have to do is break down those walls that Underwell want to see them crumble like dust, walls which unfortunately often are not made of concrete, steel and stone walls are found in the ears of many people, which seem have now lost the ability to hear the cries of those who have decided to say no to all this mess.
