The Snakes – Once Bitten… Outtakes 2017, MP3+FLAC

A few days ago we featured the devilishly good THE SNAKES album ‘Once Bitten…’, the group formed by ex Whitesnake guitarists Bernie Marsden & Micky Moody with Norwegian musicians, including Joen Lande as lead vocalist.

Well, the fan club Deep Purple Hub distributed this CD (not for sale) “Once Bitten… Outtakes / Unreleased Versions” featuring different version / mixes of songs from the album.

Here’s the liner notes: “I got this recording from a Norweigian music journalist friend of mine, he transferred the audio cassette to digital. My friend (who I shall call ‘TNT’) was given the tape by Jorn Lande who was being interviewed by ‘TNT’, just prior to the release of the ‘Once Bitten…’ album. After repeated listening I concluded that there are very noticeable changes between the released versions and the “Jorn” tape”.

Indeed, some of these songs/mixes are quite different, and if you ask me, some are even better than the ones finally released. Sound quality is very good, and the songs… killers!
