Formed in the early 2000’s by singer Roy Cathey (Cold Sweat, SteelCity) Fayetteville, NC natives THE FIFTH are back with their brand new full length LP titled “We Are One“. Originally the band had a modern sound, however Cathey’s heart belongs to classic ’80s melodic hard rock, and this is the musical path of this ‘new’ THE FIFTH line up.
They pleased us with a very good EP four years ago, and now The Fifth return to the melodic hard rock world in grand style with “We Are One”, their first album RFK Media, Ron Keel’s record label. This potent collection contains twelve songs that clearly celebrate the band’s strengths – big anthems with blistering guitars and powerful vocals – while weaving classic rock roots with strands of modern melodic hard rock.
The new album was produced by Chris McLernon (Saigon Kick, Cold Sweat); primary recording took place at Big Animal Studio, in Charleston, SC.
