ROMEO ROCK – Romeo Rock [Unreleased – Original K7] (1988)

As requested, here’s the professionally recorded demo by glammy hard rockers ROMEO ROCK.Formed in 1987 in Detroit, Michigan, by skilled guitarist & teacher Don Scarsella and capable singer Tommy Ingham (also frontman for hard rockers WEAPONS), Romeo Rock had the single “No One Like You ” all over local radio.

The guys recorded more songs to shopping labels, well produced & mixed, all done in a pro-studio, and made some tapes for distribution. While the band didn’t succeeded to secure a deal and all members moved to other projects, this 4-tracker showcase how good they were!
Seriously, this is very good. How these guys didn’t got singed is a mystery. And not only ‘No One Like You’, the rest of the songs ‘One On One’, ‘Just Want 2 Hang Around’, ‘When Love Surrenders’ (not a ballad, but a midtempo AOR tune in the vein of Hurricane or Le Mans) are vibrant, melodic, catchy.
This is NOT the copy floating the net, but taken from the original cassette – sound quality is far better.
