RELUCTANT SAINTS – Long Drive (2011)

Reluctant Saints released its debut album, “Long Drive” in 2011 to critical acclaim. Rob Johnson effused over the band’s “instantly accessible, hook-laden songwriting and sweet harmony vocals” as well as “catchy” “Allman-esque harmony guitars” in his review of the Saints in issue #68 of Hittin’ The Note Magazine

. Much like the famous country rock band, the Eagles, all four RS band members sing lead and harmonies extremely well and are masters of their instruments. Their studio chops are well proven and their high-energy stage presence and ability to connect with their audience are reminiscent of bands with a far longer history together.

Reluctant Saints plays “Georgia music,” a blend of rock, country, blues, and soul. The most recent single, “Outlaw,” reflects the band’s independent spirit…it grabs listeners by the nape of the neck, swings ‘em up in the saddle, and takes ‘em along on a wild ride. This is music guaranteed to make people shut up, stand up, take notice and dance–with free-spirited joy.
