The Gloria Story has had a great year, rockin’ and rollin’ all over Europe, at festivals like Sweden Rock and Skogsröjet. But this time the band sets out to help those in need. All the proceeds from the single will be donated to the charity organissation VÄRLDENS BARN, making the world a better place for children everywhere
Some concept albums are more fun to listen to if you just tune out the concept. That’s the case with Spiritual Revolution, a 69-minute mish-mash of neo-progressive rock, dark metal, Celtic influences, brief spoken-word narration and sounds effects, and even Duran Duran references. The fact this Italian band can hold all of that together musically is impressive enough; I’m not even going to try to comment on how faithful it is to J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion, which inspired Spiritual Revolution (and which I’ve never read).
