Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band, founded in 1968, that had several hits in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, and established an international audience with their 1975 album Hair of the Dog. Perhaps their best-known hit single was a cover of the ballad “Love Hurts”, in 1975.[2][3][4] The band continues to record and tour.
Epsilon 2, the companion disc to Epsilon 1, was released a few weeks back and like the previous Epsilon disc it is outstanding. Jeff Hamel has a knack for the melodic side of progressive rock and when you combine that with excellent vocals and fine stick work from drummer Mike Kosacek, you have a winning combination.
Imagine, if you will, approaching an immense figure in the distance. You notice the clouds in the sky blowing in several directions as if somewhere in the distance a shower of baseball sized hail was about to attack. The ground you are walking on fades from sand and clay into a path of gemstones decorated in lavish Tiger’s Eye, Amethyst, Crystal and various Agate.
The Sacred Heart story starts proper with 2003’s live demo releases A New Dawn, before following that up with Lay It On The Line a year later. The band released their first album proper in 2007, Shake, which like those first two recordings was full of very listenable melodic rock with an 80’s bent.
The Progressive Serbs, Alogia have published this day January 20th through the label Locomotive Records, his new musical embodiment carry the name “Balkan Elegia”
