Here’s in exclusive at “MOTORHEAD – The Manticore Tapes [Limited Edition Super Deluxe 3-disc]“, the original lost, never heard album from 1976, recorded at the legendary Manticore Studios, making the first-ever recording with the classic Three Amigos line up at their rawest. Includes additional altermate takes and instrumentals for a unique insight into the birth of this legendary band.

This Limited Edition Super Deluxe ‘bookpack’ is expanded with two extra discs: ‘Blitzkreig on Birmingham ’77’ capturing a live set of the trio in a wild, heavy performance, and ‘Barbarella’s Birmingham ’77’ a previously unreleased live 2-track single.
Additionally, there’s a complete booklet with The Story of the Manticore Tapes, told through previously unpublished and new interviews with the people that were there at the time.

In August 1976, Motörhead’s iconic ‘three amigos’ line-up—Lemmy (bass/vocals), Fast Eddie Clarke (guitar), and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor—gathered at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s legendary Manticore Studio in Fulham to rehearse and, for the first time, record together.
Nearly five decades later, the long-lost “Manticore tape” has been unearthed, restored, just in time to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary. This never-before-heard album captures the raw beginnings of the classic Motörhead sound, making its discovery a major event for fans of the band and Classic Rock.
