As requested, here’s in exclusive the pretty hard to find Brutal Planet / Retroactive Records remastered release of LIZZY BORDEN two rare ’80s EP’s: their very first 1984’s ‘Give ‘Em The Axe‘, and 1987’s ‘Terror Rising‘.For years both resulted rare pieces, until 2007 Metal Blade Records reissued the EP’s into one CD. However, not all the tracks were included.

Officially licensed from Metal Blade, Brutal Planet Records did a remastering treatment on both EP’s, including the complete 10-track track listing, most of the songs not found on any other LIZZY BORDEN releases / compilations.
The EP’s presented some killer originals on par with the best the band has written, and includes ‘Lizzy-metal’ covers of ‘Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Rainbow, ‘White Rabbit’ Jefferson Airplane, and ‘Don’t Touch Me There’ The Tubes. Additionally, Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning) plays bass as guest on three tracks.
This is awesome U.S. melodic metal from the golden era, especially the 1984 material serving razor guitar work and superb melodies.

Lizzy Borden was one of Metal Blade Records’ most flamboyant and theatrical acts of the 1980s, blending shock-rock visuals with razor-sharp heavy metal. With Give ’Em the Axe (1984) the band presented themselves with a band, and ‘Terror Rising (1987)’ cemented its reputation for over-the-top showmanship, anthemic choruses, and fearless cover choices.

This exclusive CD release brings together the complete recordings from both cult-classic EPs, fully remastered by Rob Colwell for maximum impact. Fans will finally get their hands on 10 tracks of pure U.S. metal mayhem—including the once-deleted favorites “American Metal” and “Rod of Iron (Live)”, although the former appeared in the ‘Love You To Pieces’.
The collection also features unforgettable covers of Rainbow’s “Long Live Rock ’N’ Roll,” The Tubes’ “Don’t Touch Me There,” and Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit,” each re-imagined with Lizzy Borden’s unique flair.

Only 500 copies were pressed, now out of print.
