After making us wait 27 years for their last album, 2022’s Master Of Illusion, many thought that CRIME were just a flash in the pan. However, in 2025, just three years later, the band have proved us wrong with their upcoming new album, ”Cold Air”.
CRIME was founded in the good old 90s and hails from the Swabian town of Geislingen an der Steige. They quickly released two CDs, well sold. The band even built up a loyal fan base in Japan. Their song “Get Out Of This Jail” was part of the playlist at Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg for years and is still an integral part of many metal parties today.
Fast forward 2525 – following the critical & fan success of Master Of Illusion and shaking off the patina formed during their long break, ”Cold Air”, with its 14 new songs, aims to propel the band into the fast lane and catapult them back into the limelight.
Whether hard rocking in the ’80s German style or soft melodic with even AORish touches, CRIME still master the art of creating captivating and catchy songs. Riffs and beats characterize the groove, making room for melodic hooks and gripping vocals. With a lot of passion and expertise, the band still delivers unmistakable rock and metal anthems as well as emotional songs that touch the heart.
This a very, very good band, kinda mix of PRETTY MAIDS, BONFIRE, ACCEPT, KARO – you know the sound: polished & clean hard rockin’ stuff.
