Compilations – Geffen Power Surge 1987


Power Surge (PRO-CD-2876 / 1987) is a limited edition two CD sampler issued by Geffen Records to promote recordings from hard rockers Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Tesla, Guns N’ Roses, Y & T, EZO and Sammy Hagar. Each group/artist is represented by four tracks (two per disc). Whitesnake’s “Crying in the Rain” (the ’87 version of the David Coverdale penned number) opens the twenty-eight song compilation set, which closes with the title track from Aerosmith’s ’87 LP.

Exotic Pet is a Hard Rock band that hails from New Jersey. They released this inide for a short time in the Oceanport, New Jersey area. They play Hard Rock music similar in style to Moondogs and Athen Rye. The album is produced by Manowar member Joey DeMaio.

Fiction Alley is a four person band that hails from California. They play catchy Hard Rock, with a late 80s style similar to Extreme and Sinister Minister. Some cool guitar riffs on this rarely seen indie.
