Daniele Liverani – Eleven Mysteries (2012)
You might know Daniele Liverani best in his role as a keyboard player in many metal acts including Khymera, Genius the Rock Opera, Twin Spirits or Cosmics. But did you know he was an accomplished guitar player. I’m suspecting you did. He’s been playing guitar from an early age. With his new solo album, Eleven Mysteries, Liverani picks up his axe once again.As you would suspect, Eleven Mysteries contains 11 songs where Liverani demonstrates his exceptional skills. Also, as you would likely surmise, he follows in the neo-classical guitar tradition. Expect some sizzling shredding throughout this disc, and you’ll find it bunches. But it’s not always that way, ripping up the fret board that is. A songs such as Supreme Gladness and All Is Pure find Liverani offering some smooth, often soothing licks, over pyrotechnics.
