Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

Docker’s Guild is the solo effort of Douglas R. Docker, who put his talent and writing skill into The Mystic Technocracy, an opera which unfolds over 5 seasons.

The first season, called “Season I: The Age of Ignorance”, sees the participation of worldwide acclaimed musicians like Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth / Joe Satriani), Magnus Jacobson (Miss Behavior), Tony Franklin (Blue Murder), Guthrie Govan (Asia), Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), John Payne (Asia), Göran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, Karmakanic), Amanda Somerville (Avantasia / Epica), Tony Mills (TNT/ Shy) and many others and sees release through Lion Music in June 1012.

Docker’s Guild, even if inspired by progressive masters like Yes, ELP, Dream Theater and Genesis, lives on its own sounds which is a very personal mixture of progressive roots played and crafted by mainly AOR musicians.

Lugnoro is one of those sweet gifts from the Swedish underground rock panorama that the fruitful interaction between bloggers and internauts helped in unearthing.  The existence of the 5-piece Lugnoro, from Göteborg, had been suggested by Scandinavian good friends out at the Sludgeswamp after the release of the band’s debut EP Tellus (2009).

After that substantial, +52 minutes-long EP, shared for free on the band’s webpage, Lugnoro became the very first band entering the roster of what has become by now one of the finest reference Scandinavian labels for stoner, desert, psychedelic and retro-prog rock, Swedish Ozium Records, side by side with the older Transubstans Records. Lugnoro started out in 2007 and experienced several changes in line-up, especially before the making of Tellus in 2009. The new album’s line-up is the same as the tellus one, i.e., founder guitarist Emil Rolof, vocalist Björn Hansson, organist Mikael Edebro, drummer Carl Bauman and bass-player Filip Lange replacing former bassist Kim Stockfelt.

Ave Tierra – Elefantes Negros (2012)

The first album (Hail Earth) was recorded in Olavarria in 2007.
In August 2008, Fernando Gonzalez Chavez takes over the bass.
In 2010 we recorded the EP “Fire”.
In June 2012 we published “Black Elephant” (LP) official CD format Denapole Diego enters as a bassist.
