Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

Alan Reed – First in a Field of One (2012)

Alan Reed is a singer and musician from Glasgow. He is probably best known as the (former) singer with progressive rock band Pallas. He has also appeared on albums by Abel Ganz, Caamora, Neo, Parzival’s Eye and Strangers on a Train.”

Sovereign – Warning Heaven 2012

The legendary vocalist Mike Vescara (Animetal USA, Loudness, Yngwie Malsteen) and guitarist, bassist and keyboardist Samir Mhamdi, published with his band Sovereign, a new studio album under the name of “Warring Heaven”. According to a press release on CD is finished and has excellent vocal work, with catchy melodies and guitar solos Epic. The vocals were recorded in full in the Toy Room Studio owned by Mike Vescera, in Nashville, Tennessee, all instruments were mixed and mastered at Studio Slabsound in France by Gwen Kerjan.

Valence – Sleepwalker (2012)

Valence just recently released their debut album, “Sleepwalker”, an epic 34 minute long song suite comprising of eight sections, which follows the contours of a dream, one so vivid it blurs the line between dream and reality.
