Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. Fen – Heron Leg (2003)

Three years have passed and a line-up augmentation since their debut. In 2003 the band released it’s second album entitled Heron Leg. Joining Doug Harrison (vocals), Sam Levin (guitars) and Nando Polessel (drums) is Brent LeCounte (bass). The band’s sound expanded a bit, while still in a raw form you can hear Doug’s vocals slowly evolving. He seems to have a little bit more range from deep brooding to moments of higher pitched vocals. The influences are the same but with the addition of an Opeth like vibe in the music.
Oresund Space Collective – The Black Tomato (2007)

There’s no way of actually describing what happens on The Black Tomato. Free form improvised space music says it all actually, but that is a bit vague of course. Take guitars, synths, organs, drums and bass, throw them all together in an improvised way and there you go. The only thing I can relate to when I listen to this stuff is an LSD induced jam by Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and Jefferson Airplane combined, done with modern technology. Right on!
