Progressive rock, also known as prog rock or prog, is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United Kingdom, with further developments in Germany, Italy, and France, throughout the mid-to-late 1960s and 1970s. It developed from psychedelic rock and originated, similarly to art rock, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music.

“The Dream of the Magic Jongleur” is an impressive creation, especially since it has been conceived, developed and recorded by a single person. And while some friends do help out with some details, this is the vision of one man. A man with a strong and deep affection for yesteryear’s brand of symphonic progressive rock, and who has tried and, at least to my ears, succeeded in crafting a disc filled with music that should find strong favor among others who share his fascination, in particular for the sophisticated varieties of it.
The formation of Progressive Metal, Thought Chamber, has just released the song “Kerakryps” which is stated in his second LP “Psykerion”, to be released September 16 in Europe and October 1 in North America via InsideOut Music.The album will contain 16 songs for a total of 64 minutes of music inspired by Dream Theater, Yes, Rush or Planet X.
The album was mixed by André Alvinzi and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Symphony X, James LaBrie, Katatonia, Opeth, Enslaved).

It all started in August 2008, when lead guitarist Gregory Giraudo and vocalist Carl Lindquist met online. It happened when Gregory, after two years in the Conservatory for Music and with a Masters degree in Musicology in his hands, got seduced by the powerful and unique voice of this young Swedish singer, Carl Lindquist
