Skarlett Riot – VILLAIN EP 2012

Now!Exclusive!

If you have not come across UK rock band Skarlett Riot yet that will soon change with the release of their new EP Villain on March 19th. Bristling with formidable sounds, confrontational attitude, and a bearing of its fangs, the release is mighty; a deeply gratifying feast of heavy and explosive riffs fuelled by instinctive melodies and barely controlled energy.Villain stomps all over the senses and then goes back to give them another kicking after reviving them with its invigorating charm and infectious sounds.

Formed in 2010 Skarlett Riot has already garnered fine praise and acclaim for their live shows and debut EP. Their sharing of stages with the likes of Taking Dawn, Crashdiet, Glamour of the Kill, Black Spiders, Forever Never, Deaf Havana, and Francesqa and recent successful appearance at the Tramlines Festival set them as a band to watch somethingVillain strongly confirms. With a sound that takes the essences of the likes of Paramore and Halestorm and twists them into a stylish rod of melodic prowess to fuse with the bands aggressive and intense rock n roll, the band are about to make a powerful statement with the EP, an affirmation and declaration of intent and power from one of the best emerging UK bands.

In Shades of Legend – In Shades of Legend 2012

now…

Modern day AC/DC combined with ZZ Top making a foot stompin, fat sound, finger snapping, groove that brings the talent back to Rock N Roll. Great Drums, Guitar and Keyboards and spicy lyrics.”In Shades Of Legend” A band that expresses supreme respect and gratitude for all the the great artists of the past and present. Our words alone could not do that. So we made this debut self tittled album with In Shades Of Legend as our first song to help us say THANK YOU to all. The rest is just Rock N Roll.

Three Minute Madness – Disgraceful 2011

Now..

The first thing you’ll notice about this particular metal band? Their complete and utter retro sound ‘ala Seattle rock at its very peak. Indeed, Three Minute Madness from the northern town of Umeå/Sweden are flirtin’ with grunge rock and groups such as Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, on their rather impressive debut album. Having almost forgotten the uplifting nature of “grunge” and the always gleeful sight of flannel-heads (not quite right, huh?), it was honestly refreshing to witness a band trying to pretend like it’s still 1994 out there.

Fall From Grace – The Romance Years 2012

Fall From Grace have faced their fair share of adversity, but they conquered it by subscribing to the creed that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And “strong” is a good adjective to describe this album’s sound: part modern rock, part power-pop, part punk, and part hair metal, the conglomeration of elements all prettied up with a polished production that is slicker than K-Y Jelly on a stainless steel pole yet never crosses the line into sugarcoated crassness.

Hooks are the heart and soul of this album; The Romance Years has more hooks than a fishing derby. While Fall From Grace have their own identity, their brand of infectious rock bears more than a passing resemblance to acts like Marvelous 3 and 40 Ft. Ringo. The band is very fond of thick backing harmonies; there haven’t been this many gang vocal “Whoas!” on an album since the ‘80s pop-metal peak. Most of the choruses are designed to be anthems, soaring addictively over the top, the kind of songs you can sing along to before your first listen even ends.

Garbage – Not Your Kind Of People (2012)

Not Your Kind of People is the forthcoming fifth studio album to be released by alternative rock group Garbage.[1] The album marks the return of the band after a six-year “hiatus”, taken after the release of their last set, and has a worldwide release date of May 14, 2012.[2] The album will be released worldwide through the band’s own record label, STUNVOLUME.[3] “Working with Garbage again was very instinctual,” said guitarist Duke Erikson at the launch of the record. “Like getting on a bicycle…
