Out of the shadows and into the limelight. It was to be. In 2010, Klone released their fourth album, “Black Days”, dark and powerful. 5 years later, “Here Comes The Sun”, the seventh production by the combo from Poitiers, shows a radiant band whose music has soared as much as it has grown.
Sky Architect is an emerging progressive rock band based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Their debut album, Excavations of the Mind, was released in 2010 from ProgRock Records. The drummer and backing vocalist, Christiaan Bruin, is also known for his solo project “Chris”.
Zurich, Switzerland.The young five-piece band Atomic Symphony from the Zurich Oberland proves how varied may be metal music, so they convince even students of other musical genres. Starquake is the creation of composer and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Wenzel, who likes to call himself “The Voice,” you know, like the television show. A member of several other bands, he returns to his solo project and a second album Times That Matter.
Hailing from South Wales, U.K., Godsticks are a three-piece progressive heavy rock band whose music has frequently been described as imaginative and original. Godsticks’ musical style is intricate yet accessible; an abundance of melody played with precision and panache.
Founded in 2003 by Hugues LEFEBVRE (vocals, acoustic and electric guitars), Anthropia first records a 5 songs demo before becoming a solo project in 2004. The band’s style can be described as power prog’ metal, inspired by bands like Symphony X, Megadeth, Pain Of Salvation, Ayreon, Dream Theater, etc.
This is an absolute beast of an album. They sound like a lot of things and nothing I’ve ever heard before. In my opinion they do what they do better than the bands that they are obviously influence by like Tool and Faith no More.
