Album-oriented rock (abbreviated AOR) is an American FM radio format focusing on album tracks by rock artists. AOR evolved from progressive rock radio in the mid-1970s, using research and formal programming to create an album rock format with greater commercial appeal.

Big Secret – Big Secret 2025


Brothers Frank & Jan Achmann, who make up the AOR band Big Secret, released a self-titled album at the end of January, which contains songs recorded between 1988 and 1994. The album is now available via Spotify, among others. Here’s how to read it in a press release:

Orion The Hunter is a hard rock/AOR band from Boston, Massachusetts, USA, that was formed in 1984 under the name of Orion. The band was formed by Barry Goudreau after leaving Boston. Shortly after the formation, the group changed its name to Orion The Hunter to avoid confusion with Orion Pictures

Many of you asked for JOHN SYKES last album “Sy-Ops” still unreleased. The album was completed some years ago with the likes of Tony Franklin (The Firm), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Guns N’ Roses) in the recording line up – there were various announcements of release since 2015 but never materialized.
