Album-oriented rock (abbreviated AOR) is an American FM radio format focusing on album tracks by rock artists. AOR evolved from progressive rock radio in the mid-1970s, using research and formal programming to create an album rock format with greater commercial appeal.

In 1995, guitarist Trevor Rabin and keyboardist Tony Kaye left the group which marked the return of former members Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman, thus reuniting them with vocalist Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, and drummer Alan White, a line-up that had last performed in 1979.

DARE FORCE is a cult hard rock / metal band that was initially formed in Minneapolis in the late 1970s. Dare Force released three albums in the 1980s, and performed in concert with numerous national acts such as KISS, Ted Nugent, Triumph, Kansas, UFO, Joe Perry Project, Ratt – just to name a few – as well as headlining in venues throughout the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and South America. The band also had several songs that received heavy airplay on rock radio stations throughout the US in the ’80s.

In 1989, a promoter located in Milwaukee, WI, reached out to five unconnected regional gunslinger musician/vocalists with the concept of creating an AOR-Rock band with a fresh sound. After meeting each other, JUKEBOX HEROES took the stage “literally” five weeks later to an oversold house at Starz on 100 in Milwaukee with a waiting line out the door.
