Album-oriented rock (abbreviated AOR) is an American FM radio format focusing on album tracks by rock artists. AOR evolved from progressive rock radio in the mid-1970s, using research and formal programming to create an album rock format with greater commercial appeal.
It’s a real pleasure to fulfill this request; “Trouble In Paradise”, the debut album by RANSOM. This band was formed by experienced musicians Tommy Girvin (Lead Vocals, Guitar) & Don Cromwell (Bass, Keyboards), both having previously been part of Eddie Money’s band, Fiona Flanagan, Harlan Cage, and more. On drums we find excellent Ron Wikso (The Storm, Foreigner, David Lee Roth).

In about 6 years of existence, Universal reissue sub-label YesterRock reissued / remastered a lot of true gems from the past. “Somebody Up There Likes Me“, 1986’s MICHAEL DES BARRES second album, was one of them, also for the first time appeared on CD. As requested, here’s this now pretty hard to find disc.
On November 2, the singer / songwriter Mike Tramp (White Lion) recovers his solo debut “Capricorn” from 1998.
Good news for ’80s music fans – as secondhand prices are high these days – Music On CD has reissued THE FIXX 1986’s album “Walkabout“, on of their best.
