It was released in January 1976 by Fantasy Records, at the same time as the single release of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” from the album (see 1976 in music).

Drums were laid down in a small studio, and the rest was done in Soto’s home studio. The mixing took place in Boston, by John Ellis.
