This album is one of the forgotten treasures of the 1980’s, produced by Don Was. The album was only released on vinyl and has never been reissued.
Though primarily a Funk & Soul album, the individual tracks are very varied and the whole album is a very good example of what David Lasley is capable of.

Recorded in Los Angeles, and featuring vocalist Noah Hunt, drummer Chris “Whipper” Layton (formerly of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble), bassist Kevin McCormick and keyboardists Jimmy McGorman and Joe Krown, the album is set for a May 31 release via Concord Records.

Love Blind is in fact a solo release by Gareth Mortimer. Outside the UK the album was released as Morty & The Racing Cars though Racing Cars had split up after their third studio album.
Racing Cars was reformed in 2000 and released two more album. In 2015 Gareth “Morty” Mortimer died from cancer aged 66.
