As requested, the one and only album from Glasgow rockers SLIDE, 1989’s “Down So Long“, in its not so easy to find CD pressing, never reissued. Signed by Phonogram / Mercury, SLIDE musical style in the late ’80s had a lot of potential, mixing rock&pop, melodic rock, and even a touch of AOR – not fluffy, but more earthy. As guests appear some well known British musicians, especially Scottish.

To celebrate BON JOVI 40th anniversary, at the end of 2024 Universal Music Japan prepared “All Time Best”. Another Greatest Hits? Well, this one is a little different. First, it was only released in Japan… Two, the songs were hand picked by their Japanese fans. As a result, you do get the big hits, but there also some deep cuts you don’t normally see on a Bon Jovi greatest hits set.

Texas was put together in August 1974, with Osier, Deaton, Mace Maben and Frank Gilckin on guitars and Jerry Moore keyboards. But the roots of the band stretch back through years and much experience on the part of its members. It had its origins in a band formed in 1968 by Osier and Maben in Fort Worth named Courtship.
