Hard rock (or heavy rock) is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music which has its earliest roots in mid-1960s garage rock, blues rock and psychedelic rock. It is typified by a heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards.

For those that dig the Dolls‘ snarky glamorama bit, you can’t go wrong with the likes of “Night of The Bastard” and the mouthy groove of “Right To Kill” in particular. Garage pop band from Portland, Oregon, USA, started as a recording project by Tim Connolly (formerly of The Epoxies) with Jessi Lixx, Josephine Jones and Double A on vocals. Later the band expanded to include Petey J Cool (Pure Country Gold) and Howie Hotknife (The Hotknives and ex-Mean Jeans) joined the band. Now a 5-piece, John Cox (Satan’s Pilgrims) joined the band in 2014 and Josephine exited in 2015.
