Hard rock (or heavy rock) is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music which has its earliest roots in mid-1960s garage rock, blues rock and psychedelic rock. It is typified by a heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards.

Raw Silk was an American aor band, originated in New York. Raw Silk is best known for their garage-boogie song “Do It to the Music” (1982). The group consists of two Crown Heights Affair members, Ron Dean Miller and Bert Reid, and three female vocalists Jessica Cleaves, Sybil Thomas, Tenita Jordan.

A few days ago we featured the one and only album from Canadian combo BITTER SUITE, a project put together in the early Nineties by songwriter / musician David J. Petovar. While finally released 2004, most the music was recorded 1991-1992, quality Melodic Rock unfortunately shelved back in the day.
