Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Various Artists – Sons Of Guns (2006)

In 2006 Classic Rock Magazine decided to dedicate the cd enclosed with one of the issues to glam & sleaze compiled of a variety of mostly lesser known artists. The result was Sons Of Guns released with Classic Rock #92. During the next three years they released a successor each year as Sons Of Guns II – IV. On each paying tribute to Guns N’ Roses with a cd cover in the style of a classic GNR cover.
