Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Razorbats – This High (2016) EP

Front…Overall, the This High EP is not as strong as Razorbats‘ prior album Camp Rock but it’s still a good set of songs. Nevertheless, I think that the This High EP serves its purpose since it keeps Razorbats in the limelight while the group works hard to follow up Camp Rock, which is apparently turning into a difficult album to follow up.

Lipstixx ‘N’ Bulletz – Bang Your Head 2012

End Of The Light Records will reissue Lipstixx ‘N’ Bulletz’ ‘Bang Your Head’ album on August 28th in North America. Lipstixx ‘N’ Bulletz was a sleaze rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden that featured drummer Mickey Sweet, brother of Crashdiet’s Martin Sweet. The quartet formed in 2004 and played an energetic, yet unbelievably catchy style of glam metal, before disbanding in early 2012.

Stikky Suite – Kicked Out Of Heaven (2012)

FrontFormed in the early 1990’s, Stikky Suite was Kevin “Kayze” Piedt on vocals and guitars, Mark “Koke” Schuth on guitar, Dusty Raven on bass, and Jeff Trikx on drums. In a time when alternative rock was becoming king, Stikky Suite stuck to their “glam rock” roots, and gained a following for their good time hard rock songs and high energy shows.
