Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
This album has to be one of the best that I have heard! Got everything you need from a Rock Album. The heavy guitars, a tight rhythm section and kick ass vocals! Quality!

With A Nightmare Livin ‘The Dream, LIZARD KING sign an album certainly very energetic but unfortunately completely devoid of originality. Giving between a rock and a ballsy Sleaze Rock blasted, we say that the group has it all, and although he did have nothing because even if some are inspired riffs ( “I Can Be A Lover”), one falls fast, very fast even in already heard too much.
The Idol Dead manage to incorporate a large variety of genres and styles into their songs, which is a refreshing thing to see. Polly Phluid’s passionate vocals are similar to Billy Lunn [The Subways], if Billy Lunn was very angry, so angry that he decided to start a new band to demonstrate just how angry he was. The bass lines are as big and powerful as their provider, carrying the songs along on a wave of undeniable presence. Bring in the guitar riffs, able to get any audience jumping, and you have the new release from The Idol Dead.
It may seem as if Los Angeles’ infamous Sunset Strip was the be-all and end-all when it came to hair metal. But the reality is that when hard rock ruled the charts there were bands from every nook and cranny the world over vying for a piece of the lucrative pie, and one of those bands was Florida’s Kidd Havok. Only now, with the help of the internet and Suncity Records, could Kidd Havok’s long forgotten/never remembered demos finally get the treatment they deserved.
