Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
His musical career began on the east coast playing for heavy metal act Jett Blakk in New York. This material has become extremely rare to attain.Majors formed his most famous band; Pretty Boy Floyd in Hollywood, California during 1987 as the original lead guitarist and main songwriter on the 1989 debut album; “Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz” which went on to sell over 500,000 copies worldwide.
3-D is the second and final studio album by American heavy metal band Wrathchild America, released in 1991 by Atlantic Records. This was the band’s last studio album before they changed their name to Souls at Zero in 1992. 3-D was not successful as Climbin’ the Walls, failing to appear on any record chart.
Similar to GNR, Skid Row, and LA Guns, glam sleeze with a heavy dose of Hard rock Sweet Sybil s calling card was raw sexuality and sleaze with a wall of full sounding, in your face street metal. As a favor to a local promoter, the group entered a legendary Chicago battle of the bands contest. The announcer was given a set list and mistakenly announced the band as Sweet Sybil, the first song on the list.
Recorded in Los Angeles, with seasoned engineer/producer Mark Dearnley (AC/DC, Krokus, Circus Of Power), ‘Climbin’ The Walls’ was set to become a cornerstone release in the world of thrash and power metal, but plans were delayed by the intervention of a British glam metal band using the same name.
