Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Yep, the boys fit the mold of many of their favorite bands of the “Hair Band” era, yet with each band member bringing their own influences to the songs you couldn’t say they sounded like any one particular band. Jay’s melodic lead vocals, Gary and Joel’s twin guitar attack, Timmy’s full-on bass assault, and Mikey’s hard-hitting thunder from behind the kit gave STRIP their own sound.

In 2019, DC Lacroix with FnA Records to release the compilation entitled “From DC Lacroy to DC Lacroix,” which contains the complete “Crack of Doom” album along with previously unreleased demos, early pre-DCL band projects, and more. It is a true musical history of the band and one that will surely satisfy old Hard Rock fans and new.
