Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
Debut full length release from Glam/Punk Rockers GHETTO DOLLS.GHETTO DOLLS wear their influences on their sleeves – the MC5, Dictators, Ramones, Alice Cooper and early Van Halen – blurring the line between punk and metal. They offered a mission statement, complete with loud and snotty tunes played with a distinct dark leaning.
Very rare Japanese band of Sleaze Rock formed in 1987. The band’s debut came out in 1986 with a 4-tracks EP titled “Clockwork Town” with minor success to the public and many live gigs in local clubs. 1989 found the band with a new single named “Daddy’s Cool” that melled to be their big step to sign a contract with Fandango Records and the release of their full-lenght album “Live n’ Direct” back in 1990.
A couple of years ago Ginger Wildheart unveiled yet another new project as an outlet for a subset of his now vast catalogue of songs that didn’t really fit the styles of The Wildhearts, his self-named band, Mutation or any of the other musical endeavours he was involved with.

Pharoah played the role of the east coast’s tonic to the masses for the over saturated 1980’s L.A. Glam Scene. Pharoah was best known for their outrageous stage antics, half blond and half black hairdo’s and beat-conscious rock ‘n’ roll. Armed with their self-indoctrinated credo “Sex, Glam, Gloom” the band would dominate the tri-state area’s music scene during the 1980’s.
