Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Beau Nasty – Dirty, But Well Dressed 1989

Beau Nasty was being groomed by the label to be a commercial metal band. The record entitled Dirty But Well Dressed was produced by Beau Hill and Paul Winger. The first single off the debut record was called Shake It and received moderate airplay on MTV’s Headbangers Ball. The band completed two tours of the US and Canada. Calamity Jane – Wanna Play? (1992)


Great collectors find and mega rare album by this Los Angeles based band acted in the late 80s and early 90s.This self produced and released tape is a collection of demo songs recorded from the band between 1989 till 1992. There’re some really cool tunes in the vein of Hurricane and Great White, with a killer ballad “Crying Inside” that could be in a compilation. Very rare nowdays.

THE SCRAMBLERS – GOOD GONE BAD 2005


The Scramblers are a Rock N Roll band that hails from Vancouver, Canada. They play music similar in style to AC/DC, Georgia Sattelites and Sex Pistols. A very underrated band that is worth a listen. They blend an infectious beat with excellent lyrics to produce a truly great rock sound. This is a blend of metal, the blues, punk and garage rock.
