Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.
A great collection of tracks from the Glam Rock era, including a few tracks that are hard to find on other CD’s. Great for a trip through your past, but equally a good selection of tracks that would interest the younger listener. It was a great addition to my CD collection.
Members of the band have seemed to do their best to remain anonymous, and by the names the give themselves it seems to be true. For what little I can offer on the history of these hard rockers, they came out of Tampa Florida in the early 90’s and picked up on the glam rocker vibe. I wish I’d asked more questions when they handed me the demos, but so be it! The music was loud and the drinks were flowing … I guess I just figured I’d see their name in lights for a while to come. It’s safe to say that sadly, I didn’t.

A stunning restoration of this film with the great care and attention that was needed to do it justice. Transports you back to 1972 as though it was yesterday. The fun and humour of the time and the affection with which all those involved look back at the period and project is infectious and heart-warming.
“Like an Addiction” is the first album by italian hard rock/sleaze metal band Sandness. 1 or 2 minutes after I pushed play I had to check the date the album was released. Let’s just say that if it had come out in 1985 it may have been a good record.
