Glam rock (also known as glitter rock) is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles, particularly platform-soled boots and glitter. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.

Crown Jewel Defense are an American four piece power-pop glam-metal band from California. The band are embarking on a UK tour in January, after the release of this self-titled album; with support acts Octane OK and Tantrum To Blind.

Crown Jewel Defense are slowly climbing their way to stardom, and have already supported superstars All Time Low, The Darkness, Young Guns and Foxy Shazam on international tours. This dedicated hard-working band are certainly something special and deserve some recognition from the UK.

Young Lust are a UK based four piece hard rock outfit who recently released a new EP called Rightinthethickofitall. I’ve seen the band live twice now, once supporting the Donnie Vie Band and more recently on tour with Enuff Z’Nuff, and both times I’ve been genuinely impressed, plus they’re a decent bunch of blokes who clearly enjoy what they do — on and off stage.
