The spiked hair has return… only dyed a different color now! When Jetboy first debuted on a major scale back in 1988, with vocalist Mickey Finn‘s image making the band stand out from their hair-sprayed cohorts, my biggest complaint with them was over-production. At the time it seemed like the person twisting the knobs in the production room was sucking the life right out of the music. Now that Jetboy is now longer being controlled by a major label they can do things their own way, and give their songs the punch they always deserved.

Hole Patrol is the debut album by American glam metal band Steel Panther. The album was first released in 2003 under the band name Metal Shop then subsequently reissued in 2005 under the band name Metal Skool, upon which the final track was replaced. The original version closes with a self-referential eponymous ‘theme’ song for the band but due to the change in band name the track was replaced by a cover of Ian Hunter’s ‘Cleveland Rocks’ thematically retitled ‘Cleveland Roxx’. Three of the tracks are spoken-word comedy skits that act as song introductions. The cover of the album shows clear resemblance to the cover of Look What the Cat Dragged In by Poison.

Thomas Anderson Fun little slice of sleaze. No awards for originality here, but overall a good throwback to 90’s type sleaze rock. Sounds a bit like Love/Hate’s efforts of past. Favorite track: Into The Madhouse.

Bulletrain was founded back in 2006 by guitarist Mattias Persson and drummer Jonas Tillheden in the suburbs of Helsingborg, Sweden. Led by their dreams they found like-minded people with singer Robert Lindell, bassist Tim Svalö and guitarist Adam Börvall who later was replaced by the guitarist Robin Bengtsson. Bulletrain released their first EP “Johnny Gonebad” on their own in 2007. The record was produced by Klas Ideberg, the guitarist of the Swedish thrash metal band Darkane. “Johnny Gonebad” was well received and the band expanded its fan base by playing along with bands such as Crashdïet, Bullet and Crazy Lixx.

Angel is a glam rock and heavy metal band from Washington, D.C., formed in the mid-1970s by Punky Meadows and Mickie Jones. They were signed to Casablanca Records, and had the image of dressing in white.

German glam rockers, The Pleasures, are set to release their new EP, Foursome Reason, which will contain a total of five new tracks. Special guest Tom Wouda of Toxic Rose will be featured on one track…

Ulrich.

The Starrats are back in action with their brand new album Screw The Consequences, and a brand new voice. The Danish/Swedish quartet is heavily influenced by the later half of the 80’s, the so-called ‘Decade of Decadence’, and they have already toured extensively with some of the greats from that period such as Skid Row and Britny Fox.
