Gamblin’ Crew – Lovehounds (from hell!!!) 2005
Germany’s Gamblin’ Crew claims that ‘poserrock’ is their passion, but the problem with poser rock is that it is usually style over substance and that is almost the case with Lovehounds (From Hell!!!). There are some cool moments here, and the band does have a sense of humor (the cover has a warning that states “parental advisory: explicit womanizin'”), but there are too many flaws to make this a worthwhile purchase.

Erotic Suicide – Abusement Park 1993
Erotic Suicide is a band that had it all…a nasty, sleazy-yet-glammed-up sound, above average musical talent, “the look”, great songs…everything a band could need…EXCEPT a record deal! Coming out of Oklahoma City, record deals were few and far between for bands, regardless of how much they looked and sounded like the best of the Sunset Strip. Add in the fact that it was 1993 and hair bands were all but dead, and Erotic Suicide was left basically only one option: do it themselves. And that is what they did with Abusement Park, the best Sunset Strip sleaze album you have never heard…and that didn’t come from the Strip!
Snakepit Rebels – Dustsucker (1992)
SNAKEPIT REBELS were initially named DREAM POLICE, under which name the band released the ‘Sex Booze And Tattoos’ single in 1990. However, a Norwegian band bearing the same moniker soon prompted a namechange and the single was re-released the following year.
