Already formed back in 2005, it took this Swedish band a rather long time to release this debut album. The first orchestral and fast part and growl at the beginning of the song “Wherever I Go” sets you on the wrong path. It sounds like a start of a new Dimmu Borgir album, but after 10 seconds you hear the style you can expect on the rest of the album; melodic power metal in the vain of Helloween, Kamelot and Symphony X.

TICKET TO THE MOON (3TM) is a progressive band from Basel, Switzerland. Australia’s Taipan originally formed way back in 1979, after a few EP’s and demo’s the band disbanded all the way to around 2006/7 and are now on the fourth of the reunion releases. METAL MACHINE is a collection of straight cut Heavy Metal, no-frills although boasting youthful energy that would belie the band’s age. Everything across the album has a decidedly ´classic` type of feel, from the riffs to the solos this is all by the book which was started in the seventies and fleshed out over the eighties. Fans who love no-bullshit Heavy Metal should be able to happily bob their head throughout the duration of METAL MACHINE.

I’m not a lover of instrumental albums, but as I learned at other times, see as an example of all the excellent Black Sheep signed Francesco Marras, the best thing would be to leave without too many preconceptions and simply focus on the music.
So I did with this Universe Of Emotions, first project signed TBP. For now I will not tell you about those “behind” the short moniker TBP but simply want to leave you with the music that this work brings with it.
