Now here is a breath of fresh air. INTO CENTURY has brought a great mix of Hard Rock and Metal to the table with much success. The dirty, bluesy rhythms, smart lyrics, great production, and diversity of songs make for a memorable release that leaves the listener yearning for more and keeps the CD in the player. That is the mark of a great album. Jon Century’s vocal work is outstanding; smooth and easy but with teeth, like a great whiskey. Some great tracks are “Nobody’s Slave”, “Indistogether”, and “OMG”. Reminds me a bit of Chris Cornell from SOUNDGARDEN.

JUPITER SOCIETY is the new project fronted by Carl WESTHOLM, known from other Swedish acts like CARPTREE and KRUX. Swedish hard rockers THE QUILL will release their new album, “Tiger Blood”, on May 24 via Metalville Records. The effort will be released on CD, vinyl and digitally. “Tiger Blood” consists of 10 tracks, with one additional song on theiTunes release.
As with THE QUILL’s 2011 album, “Full Circle”, the band worked with producer Petter Diamant at Jakaranda Studio in Gävle and the 491 Studio in Oskarshamn. The CD was then mixed by Patrik Frisk(CRASHDIET, CORRODED, TAKIDA) at Sidelake/Ninetone Studios in Sundsvall.
