Steve Cone is a New York native and has been a member of several prominent bands in his years of making music. After relocating to the desert, Cone built a studio and started writing his own brand of metal, forged in the classic European tradition of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal legends such as Iron Maiden, Saxon but also Accept and Motorhead to name but a few.
His mix or heavy metal/ progressive hard rock is tempered with his own street-smart style picked up from his days of playing the dark, seedy clubs of New York City. The results have been nothing short of impressive with each Cone release topping its predecessor with intelligent yet wild songs about power, betrayal, and the various dark places in our minds.

John Elefante – On My Way to The Sun 2013
now/ex – Kansas

Shadows Past – Perfect Chapter 2013
?ool sweden power /now
Already formed back in 2005, it took this Swedish band a rather long time to release this debut album. The first orchestral and fast part and growl at the beginning of the song “Wherever I Go” sets you on the wrong path. It sounds like a start of a new Dimmu Borgir album, but after 10 seconds you hear the style you can expect on the rest of the album; melodic power metal in the vain of Helloween, Kamelot and Symphony X.

Taipan – Metal Machine (2013)
Australia’s Taipan originally formed way back in 1979, after a few EP’s and demo’s the band disbanded all the way to around 2006/7 and are now on the fourth of the reunion releases. METAL MACHINE is a collection of straight cut Heavy Metal, no-frills although boasting youthful energy that would belie the band’s age. Everything across the album has a decidedly ´classic` type of feel, from the riffs to the solos this is all by the book which was started in the seventies and fleshed out over the eighties. Fans who love no-bullshit Heavy Metal should be able to happily bob their head throughout the duration of METAL MACHINE.
