KICK from the United Kingdom have released their brand new explosive album, ‘Memoirs’ on iTunes. Here we have 11 songs (+3 bonus), all of which were written and produced by principle songwriter, Mikey Jones. The songs are true to the tradition of KICK and each carries the hallmark of British the power-melody combination. Mikey told us, ‘This is an interesting bunch of songs – I worked harder on the sound and I’m happy that they are out there for public consumption. Check out Thrill Seeking Junkie, and Urban Refugee for starters – this album truly rocks!

The promotional one-sheet for Voodoo Sioux is rather slim on details about the band and their new album Grotesque Familiares. The UK band had some success in the Nineties developing a solid fan base through constant gigging around the country. It appears they had a label agreement and may have cut, at the very least, a demo. They disbanded at some point, then reunited for some more live gigs. Finding strength from the fans, they recorded this new album. Now you know as much as do. It’s all rather vague.

MINOTAURO will release their debut full-length album entitled “Master Of The Sea”, on September 13th via Dust On The Tracks Records. The CD was mixed and mastered by Achim Köhler (AMON AMARTH, GODIVA, SODOM) and feature guest appearances by Göran Edman (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, KARMAKANIC) and Tom Naumann (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER)

Sylvium is characterised by rock and ambient oriented songs that show uncompromising character but are still accessible for a broader audience. The band prefers not to be limited by labels like symphonic rock or progressive metal but strive to create their own sound by being versatile. The most important thing is that they use the technique that is at hand to get the maximum sound experience. “An instrumental experience that emphasizes emotions rather than the eternal quest for a perfect pop song.”

The trio plays WRECKING COMPANY sharp, quite a punchy blues-rock, although it violently suppressed on the tube, but never exceeds the limits for metal. References as AC / DC and RORY GALLAGHER be specified in the Info Sheet, missing the Australians alone from the above reason, but some, GALLAGHER is good as a reference are more likely. ZZ Top could be due to some stomping, boogie near rock’n’roll phrases also do not send to the outermost corner of the WRECKING COMPANY universe.
