NOW!Will be Hot..

Here we go… We are Wolfbane and we released our first full length “Ace In The Hole” (which is available on itunes) in May 2012 and it got us the attention of someone in the business who truely believes in us our music and wants to pitch us to major record labels. However, in order to do that we needed to make a 3 song demo that’s even better than the album and we have done that and an icon in the business is ready to mix and master it for us! We are going to work with Michael Wagener (He mixed Master of Puppets, enough said there) down in Nashville at the beginning of August and we need help! We’ve paid for the studio time, but we need gas, food, and hotel money!

“Desolation Angels” had me pining for the world we knew almost 40 years ago. These are fresh, feminine remakes of popular songs from the late 60s – early 70s, plus (I think) a couple of originals. Standouts are “Just Walk Away Renee”, worth it just for the ethereal Roches backing vocals, “Only the Lonely” with strong vocal by Deborah Berg, and “Something in the Air”. “White Bird” is a bit weak, but they deserve credit for even trying.

NOW! IS a Funny!

80’s style music, with some elements of the 50’s & 60’s. Partymusic with funny lyrics, not ment to be serious, though some songs have serious lyrics as well. Reccomended for all ages.

This album contains party music in 80’s style. It is ment for the Norwegian market, but can be understood in the whole of Scandinavia. The lyrics are written in a humoristic style, and many of the songs have a nice dancebeat. Reccomended for people who wants to have fun before or after going out to town or to other places. Many of the songs will make you in a good mood. The music fits all ages, from youngsters to grown up people with a young mind…

It’s been a long time since the city of Aberdeen has produced a hard rock band capable of making a dent in the UK music scene. By my reckoning you have to think back to progressive rockers Pallas as being the last truly great hard rock outfit to come out of the Granite City and that was more years ago than I care to remember. Well my friends I think the wait is over with the arrival of The Ruckus and their debut album ‘Nothing To Lose’ who, in my opinion, have the talent and most of all the chops to go all the way.

Well Michael Des Barres is, without any doubt, a very famous guy. I’m sure that most of you are aware of his work in music & acting generally since the late 60s. He’s mostly known for playing the Murdoc role on the TV show MacGyver and for replacing the late Robert Palmer in Power Station, fronting the band in the 1985 Live Aid concert. He formed the bands Silverhead & Detective in the 70s as well. Anyhow, his career is far too long to be mentioned in a CD review so let’s better focus on his new work.

There was a time when I wondered if the French metal scene would finally explode in the face of the world! I think in France we will have to wait a long time! I will not deny that cares a little too much the balls! Yet! Yet in our country there is talent! Many talents just waiting to be known and recognized! Since the time I listen to metal bands French I think it’s time to put the record straight. Yes, in France we have a good big sound to our ears of metalheads! This is not Metal Zone that say otherwise …

The Forgotten started in 2004 just one guitar and one voice. They started playing anywhere that would allow them.It stayed a 2 piece for about 4 years until three new band members transformed THE FORGOTTEN into an extremely diverse musical group that has shared a stage with bands such as SHINEDOWN, BUCKCHERRY, SEVENDUST, DROWNING POOL, 10 YEARS, SEASONS AFTER, PUDDLE OF MUDD, and CHEVELLE. California based duo of Jeff Lane and Jim Nahikian. Jim handles all the percussion and Jeff everything else. Its amazing how these guys are able to channel the sound of 70s classic rock. They’ve come up with a perfect balance of prog and hard rock. From the band’s name you would suspect a Rush influence and its quite apparent. Its obvious these guys spent a lot of time dissecting Farewell To Kings. Lane’s vocals are quite similar to Steve Walsh but with a touch of Geddy Lee in the upper registers. Kansas is definitely an influence. I’m not sure I hear the often referenced Iron Maiden and Queen feel but I’m sure its in there somewhere. If someone told you this was a long lost album from 1977 you’d wouldn’t give it a second thought. Highly recommended.
