LADY FUEL – Pleasure Room 2012

NOW!

Recently this region houses a famous rock band that defies all laws of gravity, mocking fashions and gossip it? LADY FUEL is led by STEPH Tinayre a Screamer high class that does not in kind but in the lyric like “I have as much as you guys!”
After an EP released in 2010, the group achieves its projects by offering the first album in the middle of the back. Packaged in a beautiful digipack (STAN work. W. DECKER), this quartet we balance here 12 tracks of Rock nervous typed successful year 70 atmospheres. Brightness to Your Holy Empire’s voice bewitches us STEPH while ROMAN PIROUX takes us through riffs and solos brighter than each other. The rhythm section consists of DOM DAMOISEAU (bass) and CHARLY FOUCAUD (drums) keep the cap firmly and accurately. Some titles emerge from the lot as Pleasure Room, which combines the groove of RED HOT LED ZEP roots with a very dreamlike way calmer. While the pieces very AC / DC that are Keep Eater That Anger and Philo near a Jack The Roman demonstrate dexterity on the guitar.

Angband – Saved from the Truth 2012

NOW!

Angband are a PowerProg Metal band, formed in 2004 in Tehran by Mahyar Dean a classically trained musician and author who is well known in the metal world for writing two books about Death and Testament.

Saved from the Truth is Angband’s third album in a relatively short space of time and you would think they should clearly be in their groove.  Seasons of my Pain starts with a beautiful acoustic intro that shows Dean’s classical roots and promises so much before we’re introduced to a horribly muddy slice of riffs and double bass drumming that lead to some fairly lifeless plodding vocals.  The whole song just feels flat after such a wonderful intro and I’m already fearing what lies ahead for the remainder of the album.  The recording quality of the track, intro aside, is pretty poor with the vocals and drums sounding very empty and flat while the guitar tone is lacking definition.

BRAD RUSSELL – LET’S HEAR IT 2012

NOW!

Having Joe Satriani in your corner lauding your skills is quite the credential. Of Brad Russell, Satriani has said, “Brad Russell is an amazing bass player and totally outrageous musician!” Nice.Educated at the University of Miami school of music, Russell has performed with a who’s who of great musicians including Mariah Carey, Clarence Clemmons, Greg Allman, Joe Walsh, Neil Young, Rick Derringer, Neal Schon, Joe Satriani, Billy Preston and more. What he does with his bass most guitarist wish they could do with their six-strings. His debut album Let’s Hear It! displays Russell’s exceptional lead bass guitar rock.

SOULSPELL – HOLLOW’S GATHERING 2012

NOW!

Brazilian drummer Heleno Vale returns with the third part of his Soulspell metal opera, Hollow’s Gathering. For details about the concept, I’ll send you once again to the Soulspell website. Be warned, however, as of this writing, it has not been updated to include details of this part of the story. What remains the same is Vale’s musical approach, melodic heavy and power metal, and the involvement of a great many players. These include Tim “Ripper” Owens [ex. Judas Priest, Iced Earth], Blaze Bailey [ex. Iron Maiden], Michael Vescera [ex. Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen], Markus Grosskopf [Helloween], Amanda Sommerville [Avantasia], Matt Smith [Theocracy] among others.

SHE’S NOT DEAD – Hot Rockin’ All Girl Band 2012

NOW!

She’s Not Dead is a youthful and explosive All Girl Band that fills the room with excitement at every show! Playing a mix of Hard Rock & Pop, with a touch of Punk, the girls have created a sound that is entirely their own. As an all female group, they stand out from other bands, turning many first-time listeners into hard-core fans.
With lead singer Kira Nesser fronting the band with her guitar strapped on like a weapon of rebel glory, She’s Not Dead leaves no room for doubt that something exciting is happening. Kira is backed by three spirited and authentic female musicians, who, with their unbridled enthusiasm, will show off their youthful frenzy when they perform. Samantha’s drums add the power to the music, while Annelise keeps her bass locked in to them, but loose enough to add a punk feel. Keiko fills in the background with warm keyboard layers. Don’t be surprised when you find yourself shouting and singing along to their songs upon listening to them for the first time!

The Brimstone Days – On A Monday Too Early To Tell 2012

NOW! From Sweden

They may look like wizard-van hippies, a trio of high school dropouts livin’ the free and easy, but The Brimstone Days are really white suit preachers selling a groovy Sunday sermon. They’re dancing up and down the crowded aisles under an outdoor tent — red-faced, gripped by fever, dripping with sin, clutching their chest — convincing you to forfeit love, money, and testimony for a chance to kiss their hand. This makes the Swedish band’s second full-length, On a Monday Too Early to Tell, a smoky, lascivious, moto-soul show, and if you’re the kind of cat that takes his righteous garage-funk cool and on the rocks with a Scandinavian twist, like The Sewergrooves,
