Fabulae Dramatis is a Progressive / Avant-Garde Metal project with an international line up. It was formed in 2011 in Antwerp, Belgium by Isabel Restrepo, Hamlet and Daniel Díaz. Their compositions are enriched with basic instruments used in rock and metal and also classical, acoustic and ethnic instruments; different vocal styles and singers.The musical direction in this project ranges from genres like metal, trip-hop and classical to oriental and includes some Indian instruments such as the sitar, harmonium and the tambura. The lyrics tell a self-written short-story, fables or Vedic philosophical texts.

Brand new album from Kory Clarke and Warrior Soul – SMF also features very special guest guitar players – John Ricco (former Warrior Soul guitarist) and Mark Gemini Thwaite (The Mission/Mob Research/Peter Murphy – Bahaus). Warrior Soul released a string of classic political rock n’ roll albums starting with Last Decade Dead Century (’90), Drugs, God and the New Republic (‘91), Salutations from the Ghetto Nation (’92) and Chill Pill (’93).

After forming the Space Age Playboys and releasing two solo albums Clarke has remained as venomous, aggressive and politically motivated as ever on Destroy The War Machine (’09) and now this new offering ‘Stiff Middle Finger’ KC – “We are really looking forward to seeing everyone on this tour. This is going to rock like crazy with new blood and fists pumping against corporate tyranny, bullshit wars, and lying dead religions. Any one of those words can be used to describe his technique. The nickname has been with him since the late 70’s when he was working in one of his first sessions (fusion was big at that time), and it called for some fast guitar work. The keyboard player listened to him play and immediately nicknamed him ‘Rocket”. The name was self-apparent and it stuck. His family name, Ritchotte (pronounced Ri-shot) is French-Canadian Indian, descendants of the Cree Indians.

Following on the heels of the re-release of their long out of print 2002 self-titled debut, Mos Generator cranks out their first album of original material in five years. Over those years, vocalist and guitarist Tony Reed has been busy with the classic rock outfit Stone Axe.

I am a huge fan of 60?s and 70?s progressive rock and I also have a special place in my heart for experimental folk. Something about these styles of music captures my imagination and interest. Perhaps it’s the sense of total and utter creative freedom that these artists seem to exude. Perhaps it’s the wealth of instruments and tones used. In the end, however, it doesn’t really matter as I can just sit back and truly enjoy this music.
