The new album, entitled “2020”, was recorded by Bob Marlette, one of the top producers in Hard Rock. Marlette has already worked with Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. What Vandenberg offer on “2020” are melody, power and class!

According to Jollett, exactly this power is also in the 12 songs: “When I played the songs – which I never wanted to publish – to my boys, we made a pact. …and we made a pact to make an album that would represent the love of rock’n’roll.”

The music of Switchblade Romance is as classic as the line-up: heavy, with catchy refrain and a pinch of punk. Influences of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or AC/DC are obvious, the eleven songs on “Old God’s Return” go forward and stay in your ears.

Stylistically nothing has changed here of course. It rules bombastic, keyboard loaded Melodic Metal, which was strongly influenced by RAINBOW and BLACK SABBATH (Tony Martin era). Matching to this there is a crisp, crystal clear production, which brings the extraordinary vocals of Jari Tiura (ex-MSG, ex-SNAKEGOD) to bear.

Sometimes the throttle is really stepped on like in the opener “Fighting Man”, “Firewind” and the final track “Till The End”, then it gets groovy and midtempo like in “Broken Arrow” or “We Are Coming”. On “Hell On Earth”, ANCILLOTTI skilfully and passionately forge the traditional steel in all its facets.

Steelpreacher’s musical roots, which lie somewhere between AC/DC, Motörhead, Running Wild and Mötley Crüe, prove and demonstrate with this work a very own touch, which makes the band unmistakable despite the mentioned borrowings. Devilution’ has everything to offer that makes the heart of Heavy Metal fans and Die Hard fans of the band beat faster!

On Friday, July 10, Tokyo Motor Fist is back with its second album “Lions” via the company Frontiers Records. Further information about the upcoming album is expected soon.
