The Lovin ‘Spoonful is an American rock band that formed at the turn of 1965 from the remnants of the folk group The Mugwumps after some of its members formed The Mamas & the Papas. Members: John Sebastian (vocalist and leader), Zal Janowski, Joseph Campbell Butler and Sam Boone. In 2000, their names were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
