In the United States, the classic rock format features music ranging generally from the late 1960s to the late 1980s, primarily focusing on commercially-successful hard rock, blues rock, and arena rock popularized in the 1970s.

Mason Ruffner – Evolution (1994) US reissue

Evolution was the first new release from Mason Ruffner in 7 years. Most notable on the album his his own version of the song “Angel Love” which Ruffner co-wrote with Mark Avsec and Alan Greene. A more known version of “Angel Love” has been performed by Carlos Santana, with whom Ruffner has made a number of live appearances.

Mason Ruffner – Gypsy Blood (1987)

Gypsy Blood was the second album release by Mason Ruffner and his biggest commercial success. The album was recorded in London, UK and produced by Dave Edmunds. The title track from the album was featured in the 1989 film, Steel Magnolias. In 1989, Ruffner played on Bob Dylan’s Oh Mercy album, and Daniel Lanois’ Acadie.
