Blues is the name given to both a musical form and a music genre that originated in African-American communities of primarily the “Deep South” of the United States around the end of the 19th century from spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads.

Storm Warning – Strategy (2011)

This is a superb cd of original well-crafted blues-rock songs (plus one instrumental), played by an excellent band who have never been content just to re-cycle the same old hackneyed blues standards like so many of their contemporaries seem to do.
The material on this cd has retained the band’s earlier blues influences together with occasional jazz, prog rock and funk flavours, and there are occasional nods in the direction of JJCale, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Robben Ford, Santana and others. Some amusing lyrics, too! This band should become massive. Very highly recommended
