Alternative rock (also called alternative music, alt rock or simply alternative) is a genre of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular by the 1990s.
Today, progressive post-hardcore outfit Vagrants shared their new single “Be Consumed” out now on Rude Records/Equal Vision Records. The song will appear on their forthcoming album of the same name. Formed in 2017, Vagrants’ current line-up is composed of Jose DelRio (guitars/vocals), Anastasia Hayes (Drums), and Bryce Ballinger (guitar).

Eagles of Death Metal is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, formed in 1998 by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, who are the only permanent members of the band, though Homme rarely plays live shows because of commitments to other bands.
With bands like the Killers, Interpol, and Franz Ferdinand breaking through in 2005, former Cars guitarist Elliot Easton and keyboardist Greg Hawkes got to thinking. With all this ’80s-influenced music appearing on the pop charts, perhaps it was time to revive the Cars and reconnect with music fans.
